FFC - Sewing Boomerang Bags

min read
A- A+

Our Friday Fun Connection families learned to sew this month. A brilliant idea from Lesley, our Community Coordinator, who recently received a batch of material donated to GPUC. Four lovely ladies from Boomerang Bags volunteered their time to teach us how it was done. They guided our families to cut, pin and sew up our bags. These 25—30 bags will be donated to our local Ku-ring-gai Libraries, the Gordon Centre and the St Ives Shopping Village. Our aim is to contribute to reducing plastic in this beautiful world God created. “I enjoyed the challenge and was pleased that it got easier as the night went,” said one FFC-er. Thank you very much to everyone who helped make this a success!
