Every year since 2010, people of all ages from all over Sydney, and even interstate, have joined us at the Pymble church to make their Christmas puddings. All the ingredients and the recipe are supplied, instruction is given and, following afternoon tea and a taste of a previously made pudding, the puddings are taken home for steaming.

Parents and children, grandparents and grandchildren, singles and couples and groups of friends are all welcome to join in the fun. No prior experience is necessary. The puddings are delicious; some become Christmas presents, most are shared with family; some are taken overseas; all are enjoyed. And for many, the event itself has become part of their pre-Christmas tradition; donning the apron, joining with others and having the pudding blessed by our minister to send it on its way.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions this year, puddings are going to be made at home, hopefully in the company of friends and/or family members.

Ingredients and the fool-proof recipe will be supplied and step-by-step instruction will be by Judy via YouTube which you can access any day in November and December or you may like to join Courtney on Saturday afternoon 1st November in a Zoom session, where you’ll also be able to ask questions as she makes the pudding with you.

You are most welcome to join us in this year’s Stir Up Someday.

The deadline for bookings and payments for ingredients is 30th September.

The pudding makes 15 servings (less any sampling beforehand), the cost is $30 and the end result has even impressed mothers-in-law.
